Day 7, Rose Island to Agnes84-rod portage to Kewatin Lake, then another 84-rod portage, then another 80-rod portage.
Long haul down Agnes, with headwinds the whole way.
Found two pictographs (one faded to oblivion) and one petroglyph. Pictographs are painted on overhung rocks at the water level. Petroglyphs are hammered into the rock with a blunt instrument. It is not know when these were painted; probably 100-200 years ago by the Native Americans.
Lovely campsite at nearly the end of Agnes Lake – long shallow beach, grass campsite, etc.
